JJ Royal Brasserie Jakarta, How's Your Weekend Folks?!

OH I LOVE MONDAY! A statement that I don't really say it much but for today, yes I do love Monday. Usually my Monday is a busy day full of urgent matter and crazy stuff to be done, typical chaotic day. But today even this morning the traffic just went crazy, I have a relaxing day. Nothing much to do in the office which means I have time to finally update my blog again.

Strangely it becomes something I'm really excited about. I know people might think it's only because I just started this blog which makes me still feel the excitement but I don't think so. I love to share my experience when it comes to food! Haha.

So, how's your weekend guys? I had a great one I can say. Last Saturday I went to Lotte Shopping Avenue which located in Kuningan area near the Sampoerna Strategic Building. Brightspot Market was held there, I bet lots of you also went there to check out cool stuff that were sold by lots of different cool brand which most of it are Indonesian indie local brand. It was a cool market I can say because it's always crowded everytime there's a Brightspot Market going on. Haha.

Anyway it's my first time going to Lotte Shopping Avenue (shame on me). I heard from one of my friend that there's a new nice place called JJ Royal Brasserie which just opened publicly recently. So me and my friend decided to try it.

Located at Lower Ground Floor, it has such a unique interior. There're some huge painting of beauty doll, which is their icon, with some different outfits. The interior itself I can describe as the combination of colourful, cheerful, yet elegant and luxurious. The place itself is divided into two areas, non-smoking area and smoking area so it's convenient for all the guests.

It was so crowded there last Saturday, but luckily I didn't have to wait for too long to get my seat.

JJ Royal Brasserie serves some different varieties of food, such as salad, steak, soup, burger and sandwich, some asian cuisine, and even they offer lunch set menu special for you guys who might go there with your group of friends or family. Not only food, but also they have many varieties of beverages, alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. On my last visit, I ordered their pasta and chicken dishes and for the drink a Ronnefeldt Tea and Mango Chilled Juice. Personally I like tea so much, so everytime I have a chance to taste different tea in different place I'll definitely do it. Usually my favourite flavour is mint tea, any kind of mint haha, but if you don't like mint tea you can choose other flavours that they also serve, such as earl grey, fruity chamomile, etc.

Prawn Linguine Aglio Olio (85K)

The Prawn Linguine Aglio Olio is great. I really love it, not too spicy but yet so tasty. I love the fact that they put pine nuts, crunchy ebi, and fried garlic which for me suites well with savoury taste of spicy aglio olio. Nothing much to say about this pasta, I simply love it. haha

Half Rotisserie Crispy Chicken (110K)

Another dishes that I ordered was their Half Rotisserie Crispy Chicken served with sautéed baby potato and mustard sauce. The chicken is cooked well, but maybe personally I prefer something more juicy, yet the chicken was still great. I like their sauce the mustard sauce, even usually I don't really like mustard, but they serve such a great sauce. It doesn't taste sour at all, it's tasty and make the chicken and baby potato even more tasty. The portion for this dish was also quite big so you will be full enough eating this by yourself. haha.

Not only serving food and beverage, they also serve dessert and pastry. I heard from my friend that their pastry selection is so good, but unfortunately the last time I went there it was sold out (a proof that it must be so delicious I guess).

Overall I had a great dinner in JJ Royal Brasserie. The fancy ambience yet comfortable, great taste of food and beverage, and friendly service make this place is worth to visit. I'll definitely go back and grab their dessert and pastry next time, maybe for lunch with some best fellas ;)

Happy Monday! Cheers.

T.G.I.F; Thanks God It's Fish

Thanks God It's Friday! Means finally the whole week is over and it's time to enjoy the weekend. I guess everyone loves weekend as much as I do. It's a good time for everyone to finally get relax, hangout with friends and family, and do good things that can refresh ourselves before finally we need to say hello to Monday. Since it's weekend and there's nothing much to do, so I guess it's a perfect timing for finally posting my very first food-blogging post. YEAY!

"Do not wait; The time will not be 'just right'. Starts where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along" - George Herbert

Been wanting to do this food-blogging thing so badly for quite some time and finally now it's time to say hello to my new blog EL-TNT (Eat Like There's No Tomorrow). I've been posting lots of photos about food in my twitter, instagram, and facebook, so I guess why not making a blog where I can share good experience and information. It's gonna be a fun thing to do! Besides exploring food in different places, I also love making my own food. I love cooking, that's why I'll share some of my recipes in my blog and I hope everyone can enjoy this blog as much as I do.

As the "appetizer" I will post a quick review of one of my favourite restaurant in Jakarta, which serve (the best) fish&chip in town. I bet you guys can guess it, right? ;)

Yes it's Fish&Co! Had dinner at Fish&Co Pantai Indah Kapuk last night, I really love the place, since it's outside the mall which I prefer because these days malls are just too crowded, and also they have such a nice ambience with great service.

Personally I really like their fish and chip menu. The texture of the fishes they serve are really soft inside and crispy outside. Also the lemon butter sauce on the top of it's like the cherry on top. Yesterday I ordered Calamari as the appetizer. Their calamari is also very delicious, just like the fish and chip it has a good texture crispy inside and juicy inside. For the maincourse of course I orderd The Best Fish&Chip in Town!. It's my favourite dish there, but of course they serve some other fish&chips option such as New York Fish & Chips, Philadelphia Fish & Chips, and even Indonesia Fish & Chip.

Calamari (65k)

The Best Fish&Chip in Town! (79k)

I think the price of their foods are quite good, because they serve quite a big portion. Like yesterday I ordered both of those dishes for me and my friend and we were full. For the drink they offer some varieties of free-flow drink so you don't need to worry if you want to hangout a bit more there you can still refill your drink. haha. Me and my friend ordered blackcurrant tea which costs 25k each. So we spent around 200k for the dinner, not bad huh?

So I guess Fish&Co is worth-to-visit restaurant after all. I'll go back there soon to grab another portion of calamari and fish&chip I guess. haha. Now it's time to chill and get a rest before I'll share some other foodgasm to you guys this weekend! haha

Enjoy the weekend folks! ;)
